5 Speed Tanny Problem

Just bought a 2001 Dodge Ram 3500, diesel, 5 SPEED transmission.

Runs GREAT, but transmission is hung up in high gear and shifter is hard to move and does not matter what gear I try and put the shifter in. Stay in a high gear. Let off the clutch when running and truck will take off.

ANY IDEAS?? Having it looked at Wed....

Are you saying that when you pull the shifter out of 5th, the tranny stays in that gear? If so, you have a big problem, could be a shift fork.
