4x4 grabbing in a turn

4x4 grabbing in a turn
I have an 02 2500 4x4. I do not use the 4WD often but lately I have noticed that it does not want to turn (tight turn like parking etc.) without grabbing. This on cleared surfaces that are not slick. I know the rear end uses a special lube to allow for differential slippage. Does the front end use the same or would I have a different problem?

You see, the problem is the front and rear drive shafts are locked together and when you go round corner, the front and rear turn on different circles. Drive shafts quickly bind and try to slip one or more tires. Will do the same thing going straight, just not severe enough to notice or tires are very near same rolling diameter. Like others. Don't run in 4WD in non slippery conditions. Not even 50 feet.......

You shouldn't need 4 wheel drive on "cleared surfaces that aren't slick". You are just putting premature wear on your front dif when you do this.

You guys just reinforced what I already knew. I do not use on non slick surfaces normally. It was the modifier that I needed to know about. It is just that it seemed to grab more than usual but then I am normally on dirt and this was in town on pavement or concrete. Been a rough winter ya know.
Thanks

Modifier is for a limited slip rear differential, does not apply in this case.
Our transfer cases do not have a inter-axle differential (which is just fine for off road use) so the grabbing in tight turns. On slick road the wheels will just slip and you don't feel it as much.
