47re Trouble
Just had a T/C and valvebody installed it seems awesome. One problem. After the trans gets warm (160-180F) I go up a hill in town it won't shift down unless I turn the truck off and restart it . It only happens after a little work out on a hill. Any ideas??? Easy fix???

limp home
From what I've learned, your truck is going into a "limp home mode" and will not give you first gear unless you turn your truck off and re-start it. Sometimes not too convenient. I have the same problem and supposedly it is an easy fix. ATS mailed me an 100 ohm resistor that is supposed to fix the problem. The only problem is that they sent absolutely no instructions as to where I am to put this little resistor. Hopefully it is minor, and this 100 ohm resistor will fix it; I just don't know where to tell you where to put the resistor. Hopefully someone else on this site will be able to aid both of us.

your trucks need the resistor.
It goes in the orange wire at pin 31 of the middle conector on the computer. This is the computer behind the air filter.
Find the Solid orange wire-pin 31, cut it and add the resistor in line.
It depends on what the pressure is set to on your valvebody and to which size resistor. Some can get by with 50 ohms some 100 some 150.
Check the wire closely, as there are wires with tracer colors.
Use an ohm meter and just slice into the wire to test it.
BTW, Solder it, don't use wire nuts!!! And then put heat shring over it.
