Recently noted studdering shifts from 1st to 2nd gear. Shifts took place at approx. 2000 rpm's. Now trans. fails to shift into 2nd. until throttle is released. All other shifts up the scale are fine. Installed BD valve body about a year ago. Pressure test at center port indicates 63 lbs. at idle (in gear). Drained some trans. fluid and noted graphite type material in first amount of oil to drain and it may be intermixed into remaining oil. Thought I'd replace filter and trans oil again to prolong what life is left. 136000 on trans. Would certainly appreciate any feedback. Thanks in advance.

 

Sounds like KD band issues. Adjustment, worn out, damaged, fubarred. Look carefull at band with pan off.

 

I'm guessing band adjustment issue.
