47RE trans assistance needed
#4
Problem solved !
Well, I first replaced the govenor with the part number 4617210 problem remained. I then replaced the transducer ......problem slolved !!!! Note however that part number 56041403AA is incorrect at least for the 2001, 47RE . I dont have the correct number handy but suffice it to say the dealer allowed me to exchange it . The transducer has a square connector.
Thanks to all !!!!!! Except Dodgezilla who I could not entice down to warm Miami to help out !!

Glad to hear you had good parts off the shelf.
When my trans flaked out a couple of weeks ago I also changed those two parts.
After paying ~$250 for them at the dealer , still had the same problem.
Dave Goerend (who was helping me via long distance cell phone calls) said that it's not uncommon to have those parts be defective off the shelf.
Of course they're electronic parts so there are NO REFUNDS.
Decided to just do the rebuild with Dave's stuff which eliminated the problem, and I got a MUCH better/stronger trans at the same time.
