4 wheel drive and check engine light
Recently installed an Edge Mileage Max on my '02. The check engine light stayed on for two days and then went away today. P PCU 1693 and P ECU 0273 codes showed on the odometer.
Today, first good snow of the year, so I put it in 4 wheel and it doesn't engage. I drove for maybe a mile assuming it would kick in, the light didn't come on or anything. I stopped and looked under the pickup and nothing looked out of order (vacuum lines, etc.).
After I looked under the pickup I called a buddy asking if he knew somethin about these dodges that I didn't, while I was on the phone, the light came on and the 4 wheel drive engaged and worked.
Any advice helps.
Thanks.
Dunno if I have updated my sig since I got rid of the 12v but I drive a 2002, 6spd, 4X4, 112,000 miles, stock except for the Edge Mileage Max.

I have heard the check engine lights can get triggered by the Edge products.
As for the 4 wheel drive issue, I would put a gauge on my vac lines and check for 22-25 psi of suck. A leak will surely cause a slow/non activation of the axle disconnect/connect.
I try to cycle mine a few times a year when I am on a dirt road just to keep things familiar...

I haven't been able to look at it yet, hunted all weekend.
I drove it about 50 miles and the whole time the 4x4 light kept flickering on and off. I don't know if that might narrow the problem down?
Thanks, I'll check the pressure.

Not really, folks are there, though. I get over a few times a year, not as much as I would like too.......
Nice deer, glad you got one! My Toyota always made it home...
Love my Dodge, though.
