P0215 - Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
P0380 - Glow Plug/Heater Circuit "A" Malfunction
P0382 - Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow Malfunction

What year of truck is this on? The last error code I don't think applies to a Cummins engine. The last time I checked I don't remember seeing a EGR valve on the exhaust/intake.

The P0380 error is most likely to be the realys.

Check you wiring over first thing...

P0215 - Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction

Does the truck start and run? Does it shutdown normally? I know on the first gens they got a fhutoff solenoid but on a second gen? That shuold internal to the VP44 isn't it???

P0380 - Glow Plug/Heater Circuit "A" Malfunction

This is most likely to be the relay on the fender the controls the grig heater has failed. Someone here on the site has used ford solenoids for this function.

P0382 - Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow Malfunction

This error does fit... I can't find a reason for it...As far as I know the Cummins Engine doesn't use a EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) Valve. Mostly found on gasser engines...

So if it was me I would have the codes cleared and check on it later on and see if the codes returns... I think some of these are flukes...

This is from an '01 Manual.
P0215 Fuel Injection Pump Control Circuit,
Failure in fuel pump relay control circuit.

P0380 (M) Intake Air Heater Relay #1 Control
Circuit,
Problem detected in #1 air heater solenoid/relay circuit
(not heater element)

P0382 (M) Intake Air Heater Relay #2 Control
Circuit,
Problem detected in #2 air heater solenoid/relay circuit
(not heater element)

These look like Engine Control Module (ECM) issues and out of my league...sorry.

I see the site I was getting ODBII definitions from is worthless... Do you know of a better one than http://www.troublecodes.net/OBD2/Pcodes.shtml

There seems to be a problem with there definitions...

Diagnostic Trouble Code...that's what they call the trouble codes.

Sorry about the late reply Mopar73man, I'm working the nightshift tonight and had to take a nap to get ready..
The info I got comes from what's supposed to be an '01 service manual.
