315/75R16 on 99 2500 4x4?

Ok will these fit on my truck? its a 99 2500 4x4 quad cab. The problem i have is my truck has 4.10s and a 5spd and I hit about 2500RPM at 70mph...kinda sucks on long trips having to go so slow(no trailer) I found a set of these tires brand new for 575.00 which is a good deal. Ok so how much cutting am i going to have to do to fit them and or how much rubbing?

If i don't go with these tires then what do you folks suggest? I want to drop my RPMs down at speed. What fits with out hitting and is a decent tire?

Stew

How about an "add-on" overdrive??

I know these are available and someone will surely chime in

You'll need a leveling kit and that's it. While your doing that, you might as well go ahead and throw a new set of shocks on.

Nah. I had the 315's with a leveling kit. It's been a dream of mine since I was 14 to drive a lifted truck. Plus, I do a little wheeling every now and then and it's nice to have the suspension that can take it. I may go bigger than 315's after these wear out. Not sure yet though. As far as wheeling around houston, there are some pot holes that you swear a monster truck couldn't drive over.

I have the Daystar lift and would like to also upsize. I'm currently
running 285 on 8 inch eagle alloys, they stick out a little more than factory, will 315's work on mine?

315's are an excellent size not to big but give your truck a nice look. I love my BFG's

My leveling kit just arrived here yesterday. My plan is to run 315s.
Trouble is I'm running 3:54 gears with an A/T.
I'm thinking 4:10s would be better.

Check my gallery for a pic of 315's and a levelling puck. Truck has 3:55's and a 6spd. Power drop was a little noticeable, but mileage didn't change a bit, actually went up a tiny bit. I turn 1850 rpm at 80 mph.

Put them on, you'll love them. They will help with your rpm's for sure.

I have 315-75 16 with no problems. also a level ing kit. Its not in the my gallery pictures yet, but yesterday I installed a fabtech multi shock system.
Some assembly required.... They should say that you need a whole shop and welder to install.

NOSPIN4ME, I've got the 3.54's also and the truck is a dog in the city (need to get a Comp to fix that ). Get it on the highway though and she'll loaf right along at 80 and not think twice about it. I'm turning about 2000 rpms at 80 mph. I have had my speedometer corrected though.

I think I'll gear up to 4:10s. That way I'll lose no performance.
