Hey guys.... is there a major difference between the 2wd and 4wd frame and crossmember under engine? I have a 2wd dually and picked up a 4wd truck (cab burnt up bad) I would like to swap the 4wd into the 2wd frame... I can fab and custom build stuff, but I was just wondering what the difference was (I have not picked up the 4wd truck yet)

Original post above.... Well I found a sweet deal on a 2001 4x4 dually with 5 speed.... major cab/underhood fire.... frame down perfect..... I will be pulling my body off and installing on 4x4 frame... I will also be swapping my 2wd engine into the 4x4 going from auto 2wd to 5 speed in the 4x4 .... is there any problems with just taping off the AUTO wire harness? to run the manual? O ya I paid $1500 for the 4x4 truck... engine included... all the accessories melted, valve cover partially melted.... YAAAA lots of work but finally going to have my Cummins powered 4x4 5speed dually !!!!!
