Does anyone know if you can edit a poll?
Walbro added to the poll.

That's $170 less than GDP. I'm putting it on this week. My frame mounted Carter is a POS and puts out a whopping 10psi on the frame rail. Figure a 3-5 psi drop for distance and filter and you're getting nothing at the VP-44. I think that's why they put the stock pump at the engine, because it's so anemic....
This sounds like a pretty decent option you're going with--I had only seen the Glacier Diesel kit that is running over $400. Did you already add a big line kit to put the carter on the frame or are you leaving some of the original hose and fittings? $250 is sounding pretty good for a solid setup.

Also, I see you're running the commander. Have you calibrated you're unit to the actual fuel pressure with a manual gauge? I've never really been sure what my fuel pressure is with that commander because of the adjustment feature--you can adjust it so that it shows anywhere from about 9-16 psi at idle and I've always wanted to check what I'm really getting from the carter. I always leave it set around 14-15 psi at idle and it will pull down to maybe 12 psi under hard acceleration on my stock setup, but I don't even know if these are the real numbers.

I've been running an Airdog for the last 110,000 miles or so. I'd buy another in a heartbeat.

My vote is for the AirDog also, I've had mine for a little over 2 years and it has worked flawlessly. It's very quite and the compact size allows it to be mounted behind my transfer case and protected by the skid plate. I also like the 3 micron filtration.
Regards, Mike

Why is it I bought a $29. electric fuel pump and put on my old 1 ton gasser in 1984..and it is still going?????? And we can't seem to find something for under a zillion dollars (and I still think in 25 years it may not be going anymore???)

Did I just get a freak good pump at pep boys?? Do I need to pull it off and have it bronzed?

I had a Fass & now have a Airdog. The Fass was too noisy, Airdog is smooth & quiet. Fass would drop pressure to 10psi on a hard run, Airdog doesn't go below 14psi. The Airdog is $450....well worth every penny.

Looks like I'm ordering the Airdog. Where is the Airdog $450? Cheapest I can find is $500 shipped.
How often do you guys change the filter on these and where are the cheapest filters?

I voted for FASS even though I dont have one, but I soon will. From all I have read it is a great product and its manufactuer stands strongly behind it. Just look at the thing, It just looks beefy! And it has a great warranty. When I buy one im just going to buy the FASS HPFP w/o the filters. Right now Im just waiting for my third carter lit pump to go out. My lift pump has been relocated to the frame with all 1/2" line and no banjos all the way to the VP. Now I just need a pump that will last longer than 10k miles!
