Fishbait

Hello all- i replaced my slave cylinder 1 1/2 years ago and had a mechanic replace my clutch 6K miles ago. I have 243K on Ole Besse and can't afford to upgrade to a newer model ( kinda the same thing with the wife! , anyways I have, since just before my slave cylinder went out, a hard time getting it in gear, especially reverse. It seems like almost an intermittent problem, most times it is most prevelant in 1st, 2nd and reverse. It seems like it hangs up and i have to pull hard to get past a cerain "point". When putting it in reverse a lot of times it Clunks, or grinds a gear with the clutch in. She is not much fun to drive anymore.

The slave cylinder install and the recent clutch replacement have not changed a thing.....any thoughts on this cause?

It's probably your pilot bearing but I would try an oil change in the gearbox first. Don't forget to used the CORRECT oil for the NV4500.
