1999 3500 Dodge performance upgrade?

Looking for some good deals on performance packages. I have a 1999 Dodge 3500 with flatbed, and 5 speed. Getting ready to head to Tenn. (6+ hours) towing a 30' gooseneck and 2 jeeps. Was thinking about upgrading some.

Truck is stock with newer clutch and the lift pump was replaced 2 years ago (maybe 25,000 miles on it). About 172,000 miles total on truck. Straight pipe, but only 3". Towed anything I needed it too, just isn't very good about holding speed up a slight grade, with a heavy trailer. No problem most of the time, but on long trips it sucks.

I don't want anything real agressive. Thinking about a Edge Juice with Attitude, maybe an intake, and 4" exhaust. I want to be able to monitor my exhaust temp. and other critical features.

I used TST in my 1994, but like the Edge Monitoring system a little better.

Just looking for some input. I will be searching these forums as well.

thanks in adavance.

Dave

Yeah the Edge is good for power and you can't beat the gauges( a must when towing) Another good idea would be a better lift pump. With that Edge you may suck your pump dry on higher levels. Also a air filter upgrade such as BHAF, keep am I on your clutch on the higher levels with the Edge .

lift pump upgrade?

Is there a specific lift pump to upgrade too? What about reading lift pump pressure, will the Edge do that?

Thanks,
Dave

and... any thoughts on injectors??

Sorry, I helped a friend put a TST and 5" exhaust on his 2006 this past weekend. And knowing I'm getting ready to start wheeling again (and just got my tax check)....it's got me in the mood to mod my truck.

As far as the lift pump upgrade you cant beat a FASS. I put one in about 15000 miles ago and have yet to see my pressure drop. I tow about 10000 lbs with mine and I was really surprised the difference just the exhaust made to get the turbo to spool faster.

Most ppl will say that a 60 to 90 horse injector with a stock turbo. Without haveing to stare at the EGT gauge while towing al the time. As for injectors F1 if you have the money. FASS is a great pump, Start saving for a clutch if you are going to start bombing and towing. As for a clutch, South Bend Clutchs. Then there are the normals, Good high flow filter(most are against the oiled filters, like K&N), 4in Exhaust, I think this really helped my turbo spool faster. I also disable my waistgate. If you are going to tow with bigger injectors and stock turbo train your left eye to be able to stare at the EGT and boost gauge. It takes alittle work but you can do it. Mine can get hot quick if I am not paying attention on level 1 with towing heavy, nothing I can't control with the right foot.
