1693 Blues

For the last month my truck has been throwing a 1693 code constantly. No other codes come up. I know this is a nothing code and the truck runs fine but I have a contant CCD on my overhead computer. I've had an EZ installed for about 9 months now and am wondering if the EZ is causing the code, again runs fine but could EZ be going bad? I've read where others get codes from their boxes. I just want to be able to read the outside temp on my overhead computer but can't with the constant CCD display.

Any suggestions?

My Power Puck threw codes out every now and again. What I did (as per advice from this site) was put Dielectical silicon on my connections. That took care of it for me it might solve you problem

Re:1693 Blues

Have you hooked up a scan tool? On 00 trucks it will show p code 1693 when you do the key check but show other codes with a scanner. Mine showed a 1693 stored without the check engine light but with scan tool it showed p-251,252. Tim
