Just got a letter in the mail for a 12,000 mile maintence service visit. Any body know what the dealers do, and is it worth letting them do it? I called the dealership, and the guy that answered the phone asked around, and finally came back saying that they were going to drain and replace rear differential fluid. I though that fluid would last at least 36,000 miles? Any way, any help is appreciated

I got the same letter about 2 months ago.<br><br>I decided to go ahead and have the differentials serviced, the owner's manual says to change it at 12,000 and I didn't want to mess any warranty stuff up by not doing it.<br>I was at 14,000 ish anyway.<br><br>Also a good idea to get the original lubrication fluids out sooner than later to get any production metal flakes and stuff out. IMHO<br> <br>Also, with the problems the 03's have had with underfilled differentials, wanted to get that checked as well.<br><br>phox
