no, its fairly simple, just take your time. Don't worry some much about the key coming out of the injection pump shaft, I had to pry it out with a pick when i got it on the bench just to see how easy it would come out (i also tried this with my other vp and it was the same).

Priming, just bump the starter with #1 injector cracked until you get fuel, tighten then start.

New Vp-44 went on tonight. Every thing seems good. The code is gone and it runs and starts fine. Going down to the gulf of mexico tomorrow to pick up a 29 ft boat...we'll see how it really does.
