Yet another Piston Lift pump Question. Sorry guys

I ogt my lift pump of a 94 last night fomr a buddy for free. To mkae it wokr on our motors what would be the ways of keeping the FP at max of 15psi? Can i change the internal spring or do i have to run a fuel regulator? I searched the threads but didnt find what i was looking for. Also should i used rubber fuel line or does the stock hard line still bolt up?

I ran the cummins line. Dont remember the part number. I use an external bypass regulator directly plumbed back to the tank

Am I close ??

Thanks.

Give the man a cigar!

The black thing is a adjustable check valve and bleeds excess pressure/ Fuel back to the tank.

The voices in the back of my head say the black device is in essence a ball and spring type check-valve. The spring is by design or adjustable so as to push the ball, closing it's port to flow. Should the fuel pressure go above the spring's set pressure (15psig for the VE), the ball moves off the port seat allowing flow through the assembly and on back to the tank. Very simple/reliable design.

The Tee fitting is just to connect it to your fuel supply line.

DOH!! ofcmarc posted first.
