If you mean the fuel filter stud you just need a large flat screwdriver. It has a notch across the bottom of it and threads out as per normal.

If you're talking about the one that holds the fuel heater on, I used a quarter clamped in a pair of vise grips.

I used an old metal beer bottle opener with a crescent wrench.

9/16" drag link socket is perfect.

Good luck finding one

my Irwin spade type drill bit fit PERFECT. They had the cam slot for impact screw drivers, so I used my little 18v impact driver and it slowly impacted it out (couldn't do it with the bit and a crescent wrench since it was so tight).

The spade bits are wicked cheap, and plentiful. I think I used a 3/8" bit.
