Would this transmission be a viable option?
Found this on CL locally: Eaton 6 speed manual transmission with a Chelsea PTO (air controlled) and high capacity hydraulic pump from a medium duty Ford cf7000 truck with a 5.9 Cummins engine. Would make a VERY heavy duty conversion for a 1 ton. Bellhousing, clutch, flywheel, yoke, drive shaft, and all associated components available. Willing to separate.
So, will the beast fit? I noticed air controlled pto, but is the clutch hydraulic? Anyone seen this done in a first gen? What adapter plate is required? Will the cab need serious mods? Just curious. Thanks

This conversion has been done before. I can't remember the details, but I think it went in fairly smooth. Not much problem with clearance. The article was installation into a 4X4 so he had to do a divorced t-case installation.

If anyone has a link to any post detailing a build, that would be awesome. I don't want any major mods to the floorpan. I am planning a divorced 205 anyway, so that isn't a concern.
