check to see if there is power at terminal P1. i think if power is not getting there then the wiper motor will not park. you will most likely have to have the key in the run position.

Thanks for the wiring diagram its the best one I have seen yet on this it also helped me locate the intermittent wiper control which I suspect is bad any ideas on how to test it? With it unplugged the wipers come on when turned on and of when turned off but they stay in what ever position they are in when the power is off

according to alldata there is not really any way to test them. they say if it is doing what you describes to replace the delay wiper module. now if there is a junkyard close you could possibly look for a delay wiper module. i think you can pull one out of out of 97 or older dodge ram trucks and possibly ram vans. i just think the ones in a truck are easier to get at just off the steering column. i think the ones in a van may be around the center by the firewall. i know for sure any 91-94 ram delay wiper module should work.

Disconnect the delay module under the dash left of steering wheel black plastic box with wires coming out. If the wipers stop that's most likely the problem. Dakotas, rams, vans, and maybe cars use the same module from 91-96 if my memory is right(all in about the same spot too).
