Winter oil question!
Okay guys, sorry I haven't been on in a while. Lost internet for a bit and been working way to much.
My question is this: In these winter cold snaps in Denver, 10-30 degrees, my oil fuel washes bad. Its not raising my oil level like when the injection pump was leaking, but man it thins my oil. Blowby gets really bad and the truck stinks of fuel with residue coming out of the dipstick tube and the draft tube. Is this normal for cold weather operation? I plug my truck in and do run some antigel. Oil is changed religiously and it only seems to happen in the cold! Whats a cure? More crank case ventilation? Oil pan heater? Any input would be most helpful! I have missed reading this forum!!!!
Thanks Mike D

huh, quite a few and I know a lot of them were not well taken care of... about 325,000. The truck runs so good though, doesnt burn any oil, doesnt really leak. I know the injectors were reman chrysler units about 3 years ago, not that that means anything, but man I just dont know.
