You guy living in climates where the winter temps never get over 50 should just take the fan off for the winter. I promise you it won't overheat. You'll get better mileage and you won't believe how quiet it is.

I've done that before. Works real well on an auto truck with the under bed cooler. With a manuel I do over heat unless I open the winter front some and then I loose most of the effect of not having a fan.

Does make it quiet though.
