I got everything off and fixed. I can't believe Dodge couldn't come up with something better for the wipers.

I am wondering about something though. The little stud that the plastic bushing goes over seems to be fine. The arm with opening which slides over the stud, is quite a bit larger than the stud. (has some play or slop because of this)Is this normal or are they just wore out?

My take on it is something like this. You know how some cars throw a light to tell you to change your engine oil?

Dodge throws a plastic bushing to make you clean your cowl vent....

I think you're onto something there Pat, ... my Dodge has several such built-in "reminders", the most recent being an engine stoppage to 'remind' me to gut my FSS
