Will a Gasser 92 body fit on this frame? Asking for a friend

Sorry- the link had FB privacy settings- so lets try this- here is the description : 2 1/2 ton axles 588 gears whit locker , hydro steering , disc front & rear breaks , leaf spring front coil over rear ,rims & tires , rear drive shaft ... rolling chassis.....Cool project our you could put drive line under your truck !!! $5500 obo talk story open to cash & some trade .... can talk story aloha

This is up for sale local, and I have a friend with a CTD first gen engine/trans combo and a good gasser body 92- he is drooling over this chassis and knows I ask questions here- so, will a gasser body fit on this 2006 frame, dimensions wise? Is it substantially wider or narrower mostly ? He is a pretty good welder fabricator, but wants some basics.

1stgens and 2ndgens had similar width (38") frames. Engine sits about 2" further forward on a 2ndgen.

You'll have to do your own comparing with 3rdgen.

Just from the picture I see 6 cab mount brackets on the frame for the cab. All 1st gen cabs only have 4.
It is safe to assume you will need a tape measure, saw-z-all and a welder to make it work.

I would be more worried about wheelbase than body mounts

It will fit with a billion hours of fab work. Once the body is mated to that wheelbase, then you have to deal with the steering box vs steering collumn geometry.

I thought this was a bit of a stretch- on the island, we are always trying to use what is available- and yeah, sometimes the sawzalls and gas wrenches come out- thanks for the input, I am going to tell him just this and the comments others have said. He may be up for it anyway, knowing him.
