Deezle nate, look at it this way, your truck is DEPRECIATING while ours is APPRECIATING. Our trucks are actually sought after and go for more than yours is worth on a good day. Now that is something to laugh about!

Been offered $8,500 CASH for mine.
Said no, of course.
I think people seek out 1st gen CTDs so much cause they miss the simplicity and turn-key reliability.

Boy, I wish I could find as nice a first gen as that around here for $7k...the only truck Ive seen less than that was a black 89 reg. cab, auto that I almost bought. I first saw it when I was 16, and it was for sale then. It disappeared after that anyway I saw it for sale 4 years later so I call the guy up and go check it out before work. The thing was MINT, had the maroon interior, flawless paint, but was bone stock with a rebuilt injection pump. So I finally talked my dad into co-signing for me, and I get the loan. I was going to pick it up at lunch one day, and my boss ticked me off so I walked. I still planned on pickin it up, except the bank called my work 15 minutes after I left and my boss told them I quit. They called me up and I confirmed, they said I couldnt get it. I almost cried...he only wanted $5000 for a 15 year-old brand new truck. Some cowboy ended up buying it a used it as a ranch truck and last I saw it it was all beat up. Ive since lost it, but when I go back home I keep my eye out, as I still would buy it. Sorry for the long post

If you look carefully that thing reaks of liar...there is no 6" lift there, and all the dealers in the country know what these will bring. To let it go that cheap he knows something is wrong. When was the last time you saw a truck in Cali. w/ rust? The bumper on front is twisted. The way i see it your not missing out, so don't be too dejected.

I was offered $10,000 for mine about 2 weeks after I got it for $6500 and turned it down...I figure I could easily get alot more than that for it now, especially with the $5000+ I've put into it.

Real Sheet metal.
I like the retro look of the big square garage door size front end, think how much power it takes to shove that through the wind at 75 MPH.
I had just survived a 65 MPH crash in my last truck so weight and safety was top on the list.
In 1999 when I bought mine I had to drive about 50 miles to get it, I had looked for some time and they were pretty much non-existent.
To this day I have only seen maybe 5 or 6 of them is this end of the valley and they are in really poor condition.
I will see them and it is disheartening because I know what is under the hood and what it could be if they only cared about it let alone at least washed it.
When I bought mine even the ones in not so good shape were going for $10,000.00.
Mine was well taken care of; the owner used it to pull his racecar to events.
I had my dealer print out the Build Sheet and it came from a reputable dealer out here.
Frahm Dodge
I paid $17,000.00 for mine although I would like to have paid less I do not regret it one bit.
Everywhere I go I always get complements or a thumbs-up from someone.
