Why Did I Wait So Long?

yeah, close to $10k later (rebuilt motor, rebuilt IP, new lift pump, new turbo, new manifold, new cam etc etc) my heap still isn't fast enough and I'm considering pulling the motor and putting it in something lighter than a 7000lb super duty because I'm running out of power mods to do. I guess w/m is always an option...
It's a problem, a real big problem. Stop now, sell your truck (to me maybe) and spend your money on something that makes sense.
I actually do wonder what the power I have would feel like in a RCSB w150 conversion. I bet the weight of the truck would be under 5500lbs.

Well that's too easy! I have a 180hp ppump and everything to make the swap. Infact when I built the motor I had all this ppump stuff, I just didn't wanna use a ppump.
I guess I'm just faithful to the VE is all. With the motor I built and the turbo
I have I could probably make 550+ with a steed speed manifold and an e-gate but again, it's a VE thing. And secondarily to that, the transmission in the ford isn't rated for that much power.
Eventually I want to build a ppump drag truck in a RCSB first gen body style with d60 front, d80 rear, np205 most likely. I haven't decided what trans yet. Probably a 47rh unless the money allows for an aftermarket controller for an re model. being able to program the exact shift points sure is handy...
And since that body style only came as a 150, I'd likely have to box the frame.
I have my eye on a 93 CCLB cummins with plow right now, but I doubt I can swing the cost for it right now.
Anyway enough of my ramblings...
