white smoke and low idle on starup
hey guys i've got an issue. when I start my truck in the mornings or after it sits for a while, it get a real rough, low idle and white smoke out the pipe, which clears up after about 10 seconds or so. I know this generally happens with cold weather, but I'm in texas and its May. The coldest temps we've seen in a while are 60's and it happens all the way through the 70's temp wise. why does it do this? Also, it does it more when it's more humid outside, not sure if this relates.

Check to see if you have power to the KSB solenoid (on the side of the pump) when the engine is started cold.
Could also be a small air leak in the supply lines.

KaltStartBeschleiniger, of course. The KSB system advances the injection timing when the engine is cold to reduce white smoke and improve idle quality.
