92 d350 auto a518/46rh. shop just quoted me just under $4,000 for a bench job and basic rebuild without warranty so Im gonna have to do it myself and wanting to get opinions on reliable rebuild kits, ive never rebuilt a transmission before but I doubt its much more difficult than engines so not too concerned there.

thanks good video, makes me more strongly consider just swapping to a nv4500 or 5600. Gotta do the rear main and might justreplace the leaking seals on this and call it good till i can figure out what direction to go

I have a transmission out of a 92 in the shop. Allegedly rebuilt. I want to got heavy duty on it (if I ever get mine running again) a A518 can be bought cheap I would think as everyone says to go to a 2nd gen. No need to cut the driveshaft. Less down time for me.
