Wheel fell off, need help to Cross reference replacement FAST!
1st genners ... I'm in a tight spot and could use some quick help.
Situation: The front wheel fell off my truck on the highway yesterday. No one hurt, got towed by AAA. My problem is that I lost the wheel and tire. It crossed the median on a very busy highway (luckily nothing was hit/hurt) and when I went to go back and find it after the tow it was gone. Probably city helper trucks picked it up.
Help: I need a quick cross section of wheels I can find cheap to replace the aftermarket aluminum ones on the truck. Steel or aluminum, I need ones that work ... like now.
Tires: 265/75R16 that need a minimum 7" wide rim
Wheels: I think this means I can pick up Ford rims in the 16x7 pattern which should be a heck of a lot more common than the dodge replacements.
Could you give me a list of vehicles I can look up to find a replacement?
I'm going to change the studs on both side of the front end, do I need to get anything different that stock replacements for the studs? I figure I'll have to buy ford nuts with ford rims..
TIA!

Any of the older Chevy and Dodge wheels should have an 8 x 6.5" pattern and should work. The Fords should too but just know they were 8 x 6.5" up until the SuperDuty trucks came out. They went to a metric 8 x 170mm (?), I believe.
I think the Alcoas Ford used on their mid-90's trucks look good on a 1st gen.

ya, I'm sure it is ... I've been going through the older threads I can find ... but I want someone just to say the answer so I can just move forward. I only want to do it once, I need the truck up and running by Friday and I'm going to take tomorrow off to make this happen.
There's no local wrecking yard with dodge parts, but they all seem to have a ridiculous amount of old ford van E350 wheels.

FWIW,
I've never had alum rims on my trucks, but I did put GEN 2 wheels on my 1st gen. The 9/16 studs are standard on the 2nd gen, so the holes are a little larger. With the correct lug nuts on there, the 1/2" studs work fine. The lug nuts that I purchased had a larger cone on them, and were purchased @ the local auto supply. Pretty much everyone had them.
If your studs are shot, then you can upgrade, but it's a lot easier to change out 8 studs, then 32, then buy all new nuts.
I simply bought new nuts to work with my second gen OE steel chrome rims, and they worked out perfect.
Torque is most important, as I always torque my lugnuts.
100 - 110 ft lbs in a star pattern.
Duallys and 1/2 tons are different. It's in the sticky.
