Be careful with the oven cleaner around aluminum parts.

Purple power is a pretty good degreaser, but watch it on the paint. I haven not seen an adverse reaction on metals.

Wet the cool engine with a light spray of kerosene. Let it sit for a couple of hours and strike it with the pressure washer.

I've had the best results with Simple Green. It cuts grease and brake dirt better than anything and it won't hurt paint, heck it doesn't even spot my aluminum wheels>

Purple Power is what we've found to be the best for removing grease. Just don't get it on your hands, cause is burns!!!!!

If you know of someone brewing biodiesel, they usually have gallons of glycerin sitting around. It cleans anything. I use it to clean all the burn off of my saw blades and chainsaw bars. Rub it on, rub it off. It's great on road tar and grease. Kills star thistle too!!!

I wouldn't "power wash" the engine. Spray on the degreaser....let it work.......then hose off he engine when it is cool. X2 on the commercial Simple Green. You could eat off my engine and it has 250,000 miles on it.
