I wouldn't trust it over 20 psi.

alright i went to a truck salvage place and said they have a 99-02 powerstroke intercooler and wanted $125, they asked me if it had a catalytic converter or not and i said i don't know i'm not a ford guy, i'm puttin it on an old cummins, and they said they think its basically the same.

So is there a difference in intercoolers between the fords with cats or without? or which one do i want to get?

Beats me. Make sure it's got aluminum end tanks and you will do fine.

$125 is a good price.

I paid more and was happy. If it isn't dented all up and there are no major leaks, I say go for it! It's probably 150% bigger and has less flow restrictions.

Fummins

I have an intercooler from an F550 that came with the Cummins I bought but that thing is huge!!!!!!! Its aluminum as well. Not sure it would work for our apllications, haven't measured it out yet.

yeah i priced a 3rd gen intercooler at the same place that had the ps one, and they wanted $350 for a 3rd gen intercooler, so i said forget that, the PS one is much cheaper and it will be a lot less headache.
