285/75/16 Bridgestone's fit nicely on my stock height W350 SRW.
It really depends on what you intend to use you truck for.
Obviously you are going to want a different tire for towing than you would want for wheeling.

I am now running the 255/85 16 Truxus MTs on stock wheels and love the ride, traction and road manners of the tires. They measure out to be a 33.5"x10" . Some don't like the looks of the narrow tires but I like it on the older trucks. If you want a little wider go with the 285-75. The Truxus MTs are an E load range in that size.

I finally got some properly sized tires on today---235-85-16. I love the tall-n-skinny look on these trucks. It just fits. My speedometer is accurate for the first time, too

Thanks The tires on the truck in my gallery pics are 245-75-16. Once mounted, the new 235's are almost 3'' taller, so it looks like a different truck...guess I better update my gallery.

My gallery pics are with the 33x1250-16.5. I don't think I have any of the new tires and wheels. I went with just plain old ferd steel wheels from a junk yard painted black. I will see if I can get some pics added soon.
Thanks by the way. There are many nice first gens here, some for other reasons than others. I appreciate the old workhorses with the faded paint, rusted and many homemade add ons. Anyone can buy a new truck and put some wheels on it. But these old first gens are much more of a signature of the owner. When someone drives a 14 year old or so truck it just says something about them.

You said it, Mudcat! 1st gens got soul! I was pokin some friendly fun at a new 6.oh-no owner at the pump the other day. Said something like my truck has more miles backing up to trailers than that thing will ever see going forward. We were just joking back and forth, but when I told him I was about to roll 400k, he got pale, hehe.
