What parts/gaskets will I need to do a headgasket job
Well i put the new sdx 5x16s in. couldnt help but to set the boost controller from 40 to 50 psi so now i'm fixing my headgasket. leak on cylinder six pretty nice stream down the outside of the block. tried the retoruqe and only slowed it for the time being.
Just called the cummins dealer up the road and got the .20 headgasket.
Was gonna order a kit till the guy told me i can only order the stock gasket in a kit.
So what im wondering is what gaskets ect will need replacing on this job.
I know grid gaskets. head gasket. exhaust manifold gaskets. turbo outlet gasket. t3 gasket. long intake gasket....is there anything else im missing before i tear into it and realise i dont have everything.

Why such a thick head-gasket?
Don't forget about the sensor on the rear/driver's side of the head (I broke mine). - Remove it BEFORE pulling the head.

FYI, I did mine here about a month ago, and only replaced the head gasket. I pulled the turbo off with the exh manifold. I also reused the exh manifold gaskets.
Take your time cleaning up the surface and block area, making sure you dont get anything down the cylinders.
Just remember to mark each of the fuel lines, (I color coated mine with different color markers for ease of remembering). Took about 8-9 hours to do mine and it was my very first one. There is one fuel return line back by # 6 on the drivers side that was a pain to get, but with some patience and a few cold ones.....worked out ok
