I only run the truck when I am towing or hauling wieght! I am thinking about Royal Purple 85-140. Has anyone else run this? They also have a 75-90. But I think the heavier would be better for my application. Any thoughts?

how cold does it get where your at? how hot? the only reason I put 75-90 in cause Ill be in alaska before the norcal summer hits. If you are going to be towing in 90degree plus weather, put in the 140.

Amsoil Severe gear 75-90. Expensive but worth the money in my opinion, especially in the winter.

The temp varies from 0 degrees in winter to 100 degrees in summer. I work with the truck all year long. For everyone saying amsoil 75-90. Is it available at Napa. I can get a great discount napa. Thanks, Robert

I even over filled it with 5 quarts.

Chris
use GM synchromesh. over fill 1 to 1.5 Quarts in your Transmission.

have been using the heavy wieght 75W140 or something like that. I put the mag hytec on and used standard oil with the aditive for limited slip. I was going to do synthetic but figure with the drain plug and dip stick its easier to change so I just went with conventional. I used the heaviest stuff in all the diffs and the Tcase. I'm due for a change of fluid. I want to get a maghytec cover for the front diff.
