What interlocks are on the starter?
Hey guys,
Wondering what things would stop the dually from turning over. Since I've had it, its had a push button starter. I have since been doing some rewiring, and I'm PRETTY confident everything is going to the same place (I was labeling everything with tape as I cut). I just switched all my fuseable links to maxi fuses. Anyway, the fuseable link going to the ignition switch for starting was toasted, so I thought Bingo.... the ignition switch must have failed and fried the link.
So, I've replace the NSS, and the ignition switch, but still no dice. The starter relay probably is fine since the old push button went through it if I recall.
What other things might not allow the starter to turn over? Of course I could bump it manually, but I want it to be right I guess. Thanks for any help.

Ya, belay this post. I tested no 12v to the ignition switch for the starting wire. I pulled the bulkhead connector and proved I crossed a wire for an inline fuse and a straight fuse. IE, the inline fuse to the ASD/PCM is wired for the ignition and the ignition is wired to the ASD/PCM. I have some troubleshooting to do with the multimeter and and FSM wiring diagrams.
In other words... it was my fault

Figured it out... I forgot to send power to a "splice" that sends power to the ignition switch, and also to the ASD/PCM. I forgot I had to take 2 wires into 1 when I did it.
Took the old girl for a ride without the compressor on the turbo hooked up (waiting on a 2.5-3" adapter off the turbo, it was missing from my kit). It was the first time it was run in about 6 months and MAN I forgot how much I love this truck!!
