What do you guys think?
I found a 89 D350 dually, 5 spd, for sale for, hold on to to your seats, $1200! Guess who gonna get a non-IC truck here soon? Ok back from the clouds.
I found this truck this afternoon while coming home on a different route. I will try to talk the guy down to $1000 because the passenger front rotor, caliper need to be replaced, support brackets need to be replaced for rear springs, and windshield needs to be replaced. He has all the parts except the brake lines, which he broke while changing the driver side rotor, brake, and caliper. There is no bed and tires are decent. Cab is gorgeous! No rust on the outside, and hardly any underneath, unlike my current ride. In side is decent. Funny story goes with it.
I was talking to my dad on the cell phone about 5 min before this. I got hooked up, through a guy at work, to a guy who had a 93 W250 for sale. This truck was backed into by a combine but everything in it worked. Talking to him and he said he wanted $1500 for it, thats the going rate for the engine alone on ebay, he said. So I was talking to dad to see what he thought. He said didn't sound to good. But I needed something with a Getrag 360 tranny as I think my current setup is fried. So as I was going into town with the Suburban, I saw this truck along side the road. Pull over, give it a quick once over, and then I called the guy. Told him I was interested and to give me a couple of days to get ready. SO all I need now is the time and the will power to right the check.
The location is hidden for saftey purposes. What do you all think? I think if nothing comes of this truck, truck needed more time/parts than it seems, I think I would part it except for the things I needed. If it is all that it seems, well, I will have a great truck and a sled puller project!
Just gloating here over my find! Ok shutting up!

It was sold yesterday. So I guess I will look into the 4x4. The truck I think was used at a body shop or someone who used it as a tow truck as the cab was very decent and the fact that it had a pto on the tranny and no bed. Oh well, they come and they go. Thanks for the info guys!
