As a guy who owns a few old Mopars, I am sure you have made the same mistake before too.

I have learned turning the fan on high for the first time in an old truck that has been off the road for years, is best done with the windows down and not sitting in cab.

I made this mistake on my wagon last year...it had basically sat for the last 5 years and I had seen some evidence of mice but didn't think anything of it. I insured it and was cruising along and thought I should check out all the heater functions...so hit the defrost and fan on high and was showered in mouse turds!

Oliver,
I believe you have a 60's Barracuda, the late 60's "A" bodies have the heater box on the passenger side, they have a big door you can open for fresh air, well, when a car has sat for years then you take it for a drive down a highway & decide you need some good fresh air and open that door, the leaves, pine needles, bugs, seeds and such take FLIGHT everywhere. I guess not as nasty as mice turds!

In the 70's I visited my brother in Florida and ended up buying a 69 Dart Swinger (which I still have) I drove it back to Ohio where I lived with my parents, in the late night driving I suddenly felt what I thought was something climbing up my leg, I pulled of the road as quick as I could to find the car was infested with cockroaches YIKES. Once home I went to a pest control place and bought a fogging bomb & set it off in the car, it worked.

I had a '67 fastback Formula S. Original 273 Commando single exhaust, 4 speed. When I got it, it was a 511 440 with fenderwell headers '70 cast iron 6 pack dual pattern Crane solid cam, Kellogg Hemi crank with the counter weights cut down with 6 pack rods 8 quart pan. It ran 80lbs oil pressure cold (Florida cold) on 30 weight oil. 60 hot. It was a cantankerous beast.

14mpg combined! 7 in the city, 7 on the highway 14 gallon tank.

Years ago I bought a 48 Desoto 2dr sedan out of California and just after I got it home I was looking it over I noticed a bunch of spiders...didn't think anything of it until I was laying under it and saw a big shiny black one with a big red hour glass on the under belly...Friggin black widows! I ran to the pest control and bought a couple bug bombs, closed up the garage and set them off....I could not believe how many fell out of the car!

I don't get along with spiders!!! When I lived in the Denver area I would get the widows in the garage, a normal spider you could kill with Brake Clean but a widow would just keep on a walking even after a lot of sprays with the stuff.

I used to live in Tampa. They call them Palmetto Bugs. They're about 3 inches long and they fly. They will also attack you. Scary as hell.

Edwin

Came down with the Wuhan bat flu last week so needless to say I haven't been doing much.
Gonna get back after it this weekend after I figure out what part connects the front parking brake cable to the 2 rear cables. The FSM isn't very clear on it and it appears the piece is MIA.

It was in the upper 60s in Pennsyltucky today. I stuffed batteries back in all my junk that has a road salt allergy and took them all for a 10 mile journey to mix up the fluids.

Did you swerve and hit really bumpy roads, or make sudden stops to mix up the fluids?!!!HA! Sounds cool!!! Way cooler in SE Texas today! Again!

Proper swerving is taught at a very young age to not hit potholes, small and large critters, or slow moving vehicles.

The only ones who drive straight around here are the people headed home from the bar after midnight!
