Cool! Where'd you find the boot?
Edwin, with 2 sticks you can shift from Hi to Lo independent of engaging 4x4. Handy for backing up trailers etc when the front axle would bind up. Especially with a manual transmission. Just got to be careful with all that compounded torque going through one driveshaft and axle set. I can do that with my '51 B3, but with the 230cid I don't have to worry about twisting/breaking a shaft.

Finally began my hydroboost conversion. Tore off the OEM Master last night and started to break loose the booster from the firewall. Need to figure out what was done to feed the other vacuum operated accessories. Also realized the rock auto booster did not come with the plunger for the M/C, so need to track one of them down.
Found the JIC adaptor fittings I need to run regular hydraulic lines, just need to order another set.

You're going to need to be careful finding a push rod for the HB unit, from my experience and research they seem to be specific to each unit depending on application and what master cylinder they are using. Not sure how interchangeable they are, and the lengths will be specific as well...so going to take some careful measuring on your part to find the right one.

Thanks for the heads up. When measuring for lengths, do I just need to measure the interior cylinder with both "pistons" in their home position? I.E. with the M/C mounted on the booster there is a 5" in cavity, so I need a 5" plunger or is there more to it then that?

It started 2 weeks ago as a head gasket/stud install. It's now progressed to timing cover seal, sleeving the shaft, while replacing the dampener with fluidamper(stock one was a little out of spec ). Figured I had easy access to the pump with the head off, so the 3200 spring is going in, along with some fresh seals in a few places.
And paint, everything is getting paint.

Got her all buttoned up and fired up tonight. Final score: new head gasket, arp studs, timing cover seal, sleeved the shaft, 3200 spring, replaced a few seals on the IP, sand blasted my rusty old exhaust manifold, 4" exhaust, new cummins water pump and thermostat, fluidampr.
Been a few weeks of a couple hours after work, mostly cleaning parts, tapping holes etc.
Head went on yesterday and got her dialed in tonight. Its my daily, but a friend let me borrow his 1st gen for a couple weeks. I'm tired.
Pro-tip, if you're gonna pull the top half of your pump, its a piece of cake with the head off.

Purty! I painted mine tan while I had the head off but my shop helper must have done a crappy prep job cause it's peeling off and looks sad now. Hard to find good help these days...
