Agreed. We had 3-4" at my house, and for most of my customers, it was same. One house is at a higher elevation, so that was closer to 6".
Problem with snow here, vs up north, is that it was primarily mixed with rain, so it compacted, and was about as heavy as concrete. My shoulders were killing me, and I didn't shovel very much. I would love to have "light, fluffy, snowfalls", but it doesn't happen often.

I know well about that wet snow growing up and living on the coast with that stuff.....horrible stuff! Much prefer the cold fluffy snow falls up North.

Today I ordered a +20% speedometer adapter from PATC, as apparently the P.O. didn’t get one after swapping the dreaded 47rh in, so the speedometer was saying 47/48 miles per hour when I was really going 55. I’m guessing that my truck actually has about 136,000 miles on it instead of 128,xxx from that as the P.O. told me the transmission had been in for about 35,000 miles before he got the transmission a bit warm from a cooler line blowing and dumping most of the fluid on the ground while he drove. I bought the truck and had to have all new seals put in. Truck still drives fine for not being set up right with the 47rh. I think I need to adjust the lockdown cable though, as sometimes it doesn’t downshift when I turn a corner, so I’m then in 3rd gear at about 10 miles an hour. It also goes through the gears rather quickly. I’ve got some hiccups to figure out, but hopefully the 47rh doesn’t have to stay very long. Just gotta sell my Allison at545 and accessories so I can buy a 5 speed. Don’t get me wrong, I like automatics for convenience, but this truck just wasn’t meant to have an auto in it. There is no TPS, a manual ECM, and I use switches to engage O.D. And T.C. Lockup. I’d just assume push a third pedal with all that. If I had the money I’d take it to a shop and tell them to rebuild the thing at stage 5 and make it shift on its own and right with only a switch to lock it out of overdrive if wanted. Wow, that got long winded!

Trucks been a bit off the last few days and I suspect that the little Fram G2 inline filter I have between the tank and lift pump was plugging up, so just changed that. Figured since I was down on the ground I may as well grease the truck too.

Loaded up the frame to drop off at a frame to verify it is straight and weld up the cracks where the steering box mounts.

Don't know if they work yet but the engine compartment of my 92 W250 sure smells purdy.

We had my wife's 2014 Grand Cherokee in for a faulty evaporator whatcha-ma-bob and they said there were signs of mice in the engine bay. They recommended using dryer sheets to fend the rodents off. We bought some Bounce brand dryer sheets and I put them under the hoods of all my vehicles.

I will attest to the validity of the dryer sheets. Any vehicle my dad and I store over winter gets them throughout. Engine bay, interior, truck, etc and we haven't had a mouse problem since.

You can also wipe them on yourself and are supposed to be a pretty good insect repellent...Mark

Ha ! Wait till you're at 30 years. You'll see ...
Forget the ticks and chiggers. Pleasant smelling feet are reason enough.

The wife sent me on an errand tonight. I told Buddy “road trip” and he bolted out the door and sat next to the truck ready to go. He loves truck rides.
