Was looking for some info on the web and ended up on you tube and found a clip on pre filling filters and how to do it properly if doing so. Will see if my link works.

First I've ever heard NOT to prefill filters or that manufacturers don't recommend it. I'm going to read mine and see.
Not sure I agree but I'm no engineer. I don't understand his logic that new oil poured into the filter outlet contaminates the engine, what about the 3 gallons I pour straight into the crankcase???
Not done anything to my 1st gen other than drive by the shop and look willingly towards her.
Soooo, I'm living vicariously through my M880 (1977 W200). Finally got the 727 torqueflite swapped in over the warmish weekend only to discover that while the tranny was fine, she steered like an overloaded boat. The power steering box mountingplate was broke. So I spent Sunday getting that off, welding it up and reinstalling. All better now.

Are those Blackhead Vultures? Not sure if they are out west but they've moved in here and displace the Turkey Vulture. They are more aggressive and some don't wait for you to be dead. They've been know to attack new born lambs and cows while calving. They'll peck out the eyes and start at the rearend. Not much you can do as they are federally protected.

Had to buckle down and order that mishimoto radiator. My oem just started leaking from somewhere that I cannot pinpoint. The whole front of the fan, under the rad, frame, and everything on the d/s is covered in coolant. I don't have time to get it repaired and I do not trust the auto parts store rads. Since we are moving to Texas in 7 days.

Having to 2 day ship the thing really jacked the cost up. I will keep the old rad for now. Probably one of the tanks is leaking. I had the rad gone through last year because the core is filled with scale, still is but flows well. I'll bet the antifreeze was pretty acidic before I sent it in.
