Scratching my head today on mine. Has the stumbling idle I’ve mentioned and sounds like it’s barely still going when in gear. Doesn’t die no matter what I do, but it isn’t reassuring. Going to enlist the help of my buddy that is a mechanic for John Deere as the fuel systems are similar and he has a gauge that hooks to the injection line and tells you your rpm. I plan to set it at 750-800 rpm in gear. Breaking the locknut for the idle adjustment looks like it could be a real PITA.

Hung the new axle under the heap. It's that from a 2001.5 2500 that sports stock/OEM dual piston caliper, disc-brakes. Has the traditional shoe type parking brake.
Narrowed to match the '93 footprint. Detroit Locker. 35-spline (from stock/OEM 32) chromalloy axles. Tubes welded to the housing (to better positively locate traction-bars/torque-arm type torque reaction stuff).
We'll see.

I forgot to measure amp draw on my rear “goober light”. Sorry NJTman, I lost track of time with my friend Miller, since he was getting the cold shoulder from Bud who is just above Coors (I have a few weirdos hanging out, in my fridge). It’s been a long week already!
