I replaced the coolant filter on my truck today and wiped the dust off the valve covers.
Has anyone ever tried a Coffin Muffler on their Cummins?

I had wanted to do this for some time, but never had the chance to.
When the VE Pump in my ride was rebuilt, I had all those issues with it that I previously never did, and one of them was the throttle rod was a bit too short. Yeah, it worked, but being held on by 3 threads on each end wasn't exactly my way of thinking it should have been done. I never felt comfortable with it being that way, so I finally got around to doing some customization that I wanted to do.
First I removed the rod, disassembled it to start working on it.
Then I cut the rod in two.
And finally, after welding 3 nuts (metric steel nuts) in the middle, and grinding them smooth to look ..... well, better than they did before, I guess it turned out alright. Now the ends thread about a half inch in each side. This allows for more of an adjustment if I ever lower my Low speed idle screw again....

At 00:14 the badges show Cummins Turbo Diesel but I would like to hear one on a 12-valve mechanical,

the common rail all sound like gassers to me.

Well I spent the last few days taking a "stay-cation" in my garage.
My friend was in town, and we attacked the final punch list on my white crew cab:
Rebuilt Getrag installed with a new SB OFE clutch.
Rebuilt Cummins rear driveshaft swapped in place of the smaller crew drive shaft.
Swapped out the one sagging SkyJacker 6 inch lift spring on the drivers front.
Brake master and power steering pump swap out.
Greased, lubed, oiled and filtered.
I now have the shop space to roll Moonshine in the shop!
I did find out an interesting fact though while working on my truck.
The earlier Getrag bells take a smaller bolt to attach the bell to the transmission.
The earlier bells take a 7/16 corse thread bolt where the more common later bells take a 1/2 corse thread bolt.
I found myself using a 1/2 bolt bell with a rebuilt trans. that only had 7/16 holes for the bolts in it.
If I had not been paying attention, it would have been possible to mount it up with the smaller bolts.
They would just have VERY little "meat" holding them into the Bell.
We inspected 10 different Getrag bells / transmissions I had in the shop and only found three that use the smaller bolts.
