Maybe I can cut it off with my plasma cutter and weld a new one on.

Lets put it this way..

I've been chasing that elusive "mystery short" for quite a while now. Noticed the key cylinder was "loose" over the last few months. If when I replace both the cylinder and switch, my mystery short disappears, you might just be onto something regarding replacing it.

If you want my advice, order a switch and a lock cylinder anyway. If it ever gets on the "NLA" list, you'll have it, otherwise you'll have to go with an offshore unit which will ultimately fail like mine was doing.

BTW, Dodge only sells the cylinder with no keys. You have to bring the cylinder to a local key shop to get it keyed to your truck. I've saved an "unused" new key for this very purpose. Worn keys don't do well being recopied or rekeyed cylinders.

$178.00 shipped is cheap insurance for our aging pigs, IMO.

Just wondering why my "Wait to Start" light came on today?

Then I noticed it finally went out.

Yeah. The weather Underground dropped the minus sign from their web page.

Jim: I had a problem where my WTS light would flash. I unplugged and replugged the plugs to the sensor and to the ECU after checking the harness for continuity and the problem went away.

In Phoenix our record high is 122. They are calling for 120 on Monday and 120+ on Tuesday, good thing I like the heat and that I am in a much more humid and almost as hot of a place. The beach helps a bit though. ...Mark

It got up to about 87* in Santa Ana today. About the only redeeming quality of living near the coast. Otherwise listening to the occasional boom from people who just can't wait to burn their money.

The older I get the more I dislike the heat, anything much over 85* is too hot for me,

Today was my birthday so I went from my house to my air conditioned truck to the air conditioned mall for lunch,

Now that the sun went down I can finally come out to play,

So here we are at In-n-out watching all of the funny people go by.

You sure like that in/out burger, don't you, Jim? We have one here in town. Supposedly the rumor I heard is one of the original employees works at this branch. Me, I prefer the old Wendy's square patties burger. Not because that was my high school job, but just something about all that grease, LOL.
Happy Birthday!

I'm just the opposite. I got used to the heat living in KS and FL. But my wife has to have it cold and she can't stand the humidity.

I love In-n-Out burgers and fries but I can no longer eat potatoes and the long lines the local ones have always puts me off. I go to Sonic and park in the handicapped stall and watch traffic.

Oldest daughter asked if we could go to the lake today to do some kayaking....I told her of course! Loaded up the kayaks in the back of the truck and buzzed out to a lake to paddle around for a while.

Then once we were done loaded things into the back of the truck and I realized I locked the keys in the truck....Doooh! Good think I had a couple bungee chords in the back of the truck. Was able to bend, twist and shape them so I could jimmy the vent window open. Those hooks don't bend so easy, nor does that vent window latch like to move. Probably took 30 min to get in, but with my daughters help we finally did it.
