I have also been searching for a Winch type front bumper, pics, ideas or pre made units. Need something that can hopefully repel a dear for when we move up north. Found a couple craigslist winch bumpers I'm trying to see...but if no luck then I will probably make my own once we get moved up north.

Also been searching for a decent winch. Well today I found a decent Warn winch...12000lb unit for a good price. And it's in the town we are moving too....so I put a deposit on it and will pay the rest when i get up there.
BuckStop makes a nice bumper but they're not cheap. I've done a couple google searches for homemade 1st gen bumpers and gotten some pretty good ideas. Since the front ends of our trucks are pretty flat it makes building a bumper that much easier.

Move bumpers sells a DIY kit for a pretty reasonable cost.

Yeah I have seen the Buckstop bumpers...they are nice, but not within my price range.

I have been looking at RLC welding....they make winch bumpers for all kinds of trucks, and I like the look of the 73-87 Chevy front bumper.

So I e-mailed them asking if it could be modified to fit a 81-93 dodge. He replied that he has built them for the dodges before and sent me this link...

I'm seriously thinking of getting one of their bumpers now that I know they make a direct fit unit.

Not bad, but for a hundred more I can get the one mentioned above already built.

Took mine to work yesterday to bring home some base material and a guy with a 07 Power stroke offered his in trade. He seemed a little offended that I wouldn't even consider it. Lol

At Long last.

I'm going to get my truck back on the road. I put it with a guy who said he would paint it for me. I paid him $2,300 and he got it primed but then he lost interest in finishing it.

I finally decided to come back here and take it away from him and put it in another Body Shop to get it finished.

I plan to take is back to SoCal with me and use it. As long as I can anyway.

Edwin
