Yes it is, but with 400k it's about time. I've been thinking for a while now to order the fluidamper and hub bearing. Guess I should have ordered them when I first thought about it.

So today I ordered a fluidamper, the fan hub bearing and warrentied the water pump. Then since its down for a few days, I started pulling the left side down to change the tappet cover gasket.
Hey, Hillbilly. Regarding your Fluid Damper install, have you looked far enough ahead on the fan blade to FD collision? That damper is so big it will collide with the fan blades. Your fan will need to be pushed forward slightly. PM me and I have an alternate solution as to what's documented in the sticky treads

Just sent you a PM. Thanks.

Got the correct gaskets today for the oil cooler. Just got it back in, now on to changing the bearing in the fan hub.

I managed to get the fan hub done. Now I'm down to only one bolt in the tappet cover. Just realized the time so that's it for tonight.

I do have question. Has anyone removed that noise damper panel? I'm debating on leaving it off and wondering how much more noise I will actually hear with out it?

J.fonder nice looking little 2wd project you have there.
Are you planning on keeping the 1/2 front end?
Oliver, how long ago did you live in CB? I live in grand junction, but lived in Gunnison from 93 to 99. As I was reading through this I was thinking of all the eagles at the Almont fish hatchery. Small world.

There is not much difference with the pad on or gone. I removed mine when I was doing my cab swap.

That is what I wanted to hear. Thanks. I had figured on trimming it for the piston Lp while I had it off, but now I think I'll throw it in the discard pile tomorrow when I take it off.

I lived in CB from '94-'97.
I spent a lot of of that time living out of my '94 Dodge 2500 with my two Mastiffs on the state land.
I was just living the snowboarder bum's dream and cooking at the Grande Butte hotel.
Eat, snowboard, work, Mopar, sleep…and repeat.
Those eagles posted up at the fish hatchery where an awesome sight!

Today the my piston lift pump, as well as the fluid damper showed up. Managed to get the tappet cover gasket changed and the Lp installed before I ran out of time.

Last night I officially started on project "Power Ram 250HD". I swapped the front hubs to dually hubs. After getting it all put back together I found out that the shop did a crap job at turning the rotors because I've got some pretty bad brake shimmy. Looks good at least!
