Yeah, it was tough. All those bags of leaves made the truck just barely get up and go. Maybe I need some more tweaking !

I have developed a couple fuel leaks, and now that it's getting cold in the morning the truck is stumbling when I fire it up.

One is from the plastic supply line to my piston lift pump....the clip end is leaking. Believe I saw replacement clips at the parts store. Will try some new clips and see if that helps.

Another one, or two, was coming from my IP itself. I thought it was the seal between the lower and upper sections of the IP, so I took everything off the top and cranked down on the 4 Allen head bolts...they were nice and tight. So fired up the truck and used a mirror and lights to see where it was coming from. After some time it appeared that the little 3 sided bolt on the front side was at least one of my culprits. Snugged it up and that at least stopped that one, hoping the rear one is not leaking too.

Will see tomorrow if more show up.

Thanks...

I spent a few days driving a brand new 2015 f250 superduty, and I came to the conclusion that it doesn't compare to my dodge with regards to satisfaction of being in it. Even with all its bells, whistles and modern conveniences, I really don't like the Ford. The ride is too mushy, too many ***** and gadgets, an amazing amount of wind noise for a truck with 7k on the odo. . I did like the backup camera, and it had plenty of power, but I'd still take the dodge over the new Ford any day...

This summer alone, I had a powersteering pump leak, transfer case pinon leak, and an axle pinion leak. Hopefully no more during the winter!

Glad to hear that NJTman!

You don't need a back up camera, you have a rugged rear steel bumper on your 1st gen.

Please tell me I don't have to test drive the 2015 Ford for a few days...

Will do, and thanks in advance for whatever surprise awaits me.

My daughter, one of the pups and I took the old '91 out for breakfast today. The salt trucks have not been out locally, even though we have had a few good dustings. We got a few thumbs up and in general had a good drive.
It is about time to write up the things to fix over the winter list, leave it on the dash and take it off the road.

FINALLY installed pyro and boost guages (after driving these things over 20yrs). Long pull over mtn pass (empty) 1100 degrees and 18ish psi. Guess I could turn the fuel screw in safely... Pin is already turn and smoke bottomed. Not sure if ill get any more with stock sticks?

If you are talking your NON intercooled '91, you can get plenty more with the factory sticks.
I have seen about 32-33 PSI on stock sticks and a stock turbo.
I have gotten 37-38 PSI on stock sticks and a newer HX-35 turbo.

I wish. No the stock 93. Sold the 91 a few years ago. So stock smaller sticks on 93.

Yes the '91.5-'93 come from the factory with a smaller stick.
You should still be able to up the EGTs and PSI from the #s you listed though.
Turn that fuel screw in and the idle out, and take it for another run.
