What is the common size tire for 16x7 wheels?
#16
i'm very interested in going to a taller tire as my truck has 4.11's in it. it'd be cheaper to go to a taller tire than going to a 3.42 or 3.55 gear...i'm runing the 235/85/16's...you think i could get away with like a 265/85/16 tire without many issues?

no such thing as a 265/85 that I've ever seen...there's a few 255/85s to choose from though, the Toyo M55s are the only tire in that size that is available in 10 ply/ load renge E.

For those of you who are wondering the metric tires are measured as follows, the 235/245/255/265/etc... is the width of the tire in milimeters, so a 265 would be 26.5 cm wich would be 10.4 inches wide, the next number 60/70/75/85/etc... is the height of the sidewall, so if you have a 235/85 your sidewall is 85% of the tire width, 235/85-16 are roughly 80.6 cm tall or 31.7 inches tall, and lastly the last number14-15-16-17-etc... is the rim size in inches. stock 233/85-16 are 9.25 inches wide and 31.7 inches tall, now you can find out the differences in sizes between tires.
