Well since I have my pump top off (3200 spring, afc foot grind, leaking fuel pin)

Well, I started off just wanting to put my 3200 spring in when I discovered fuel in the top of my pump. I read the sticky about repairing the o-ring around the fuel pin. While I am in there I'm wondering what else I should do. Are there still fans of grinding the little foot off of the afc lever or is that kind of an obsolete modification. I have a DennyT stage two pin in there as well, would those two mods work well together? I don't think I want to remove the lever alltogether.

For a play truck with moderate injectors it works well. Big injectors + ground/missing AFC lever = uncontrollable smoke off boost.

They are "old" BullyDog +50 hp +100lb ft injectors I bought a long time ago. I know there not much bigger than the stock non-I/C sticks if at all, but they were new and smoothed the idle. I may give it a try.

Yeah, it should work alright. You'll get a good cloud if you stomp it off the line, but it'll clear out as soon as the boost comes up.

The following information is from the 4th post down by KTA

http://www.1stgen.org/viewtopic.php?t=1053

"Also you can remove the pin that rides against the cone and replace it with a longer one to take more advatage of the afc, then replace the fuel pin with a tapered one with even more offset to get even more travel, then it moves just as far as a cut foot but still has AFV control."

This is what i'd like to do, that way you don't increase your off boost fueling yet you still get the top end fueling of removing the foot.

Apparently a needle from a certain needle bearing is the right diameter and if I remember right about 3/16" longer is optimum.
