water temp sender location?!

water temp sender location?!

i have no clue where the dumb thing is. i'm probably looking right at it and just don't know that's what it is. i was told it's on the drivers side of the truck on the head... is it facing up? out the top of the head or what? what thread size am i looking for or how many wires? i feel stupid for not being able to find the thing so someone please help me out. a picture would even be the best since i just don't seem to get this one!

It's at the rear of the head fasing towards the fender next to the firewall!

Yep, thats the oem water temp sender. If you want to plumb a mechanical temp gauge or aftermarket, the 1/2" plug passenger side top of head next to the t-stat is the best place.
