Mine had me puzzled for a while, before I fixed it. Last summer I was laid up with a broken ankle, so I set out to find it. I took the left kick panel out, along with the E-brake assy. I didnt have any leaves or anything built up either, but with a garden hose running water down over the windshield I could see that it was definitely the left side vent in the kick panel. I reinstalled it with some new weather strip, but still leaked. Finally, I made an aluminum cover for the hole, sealed it up, riveted it in place, no more wet carpet.

Nope. The wiper arm transmissions which tie the linkage to the splined wiper arms are all above the trough. The wiper motor mounts on the outside engine side of the trough and the linkage to the arms all reside within the trough. There is also the troublesome incomplete weld which some trucks have in the lower corners of the windshield. I have one here that has an adhesive type patch in both corners.
