Im tryin to get the one off my phone on to youtube but it didn't work last night. Ill try again today along with some pics. Its not the best vid, hopefully they will have the whole entire pull on youtube soon, they did last year, so ill watch for that and link it when they put it up also but don't know how long it'll be.
But wow that was fun! And I can see what all the guys mean by pulling being addicting.
Terry, my dad got a short vid of your truck if ya want me to try and post that too?

yea- post it . in spite of the embarrasing results of the wrong gear choice and shut-off wire coming off and shutting me down. did you win anything ? i think you should try 2.8 in idaho falls and spool up alittle more off the line. yor truck pulled well.

Great Pulling Weekend
Here is some pics of me, Terry (crewcabxlt) and my two neighbors at the pulls this weekend in Logan, Utah. We had a great time even though we all had a very busy week gettin ready for all this.
Here is the whole crew, 3 Fummins and my ol dodge, all with the good ol 12 valve motors in them. The red 78 crewcab is Terry's, the light blueish green ford is my neighbor Brandon's, it has a 215 p pumped 12 valve in it and the white ford is Brandon's younger brother Brian, they just got done puttin a 215 p pumped motor in that one about a month ago and mated it with the zf6. This was all of our very first pulls. Brandon and Terry pulled in the work stock class and they both had HE351 turbos and I pulled in the 2.6 class with my ats 3000. Brians truck was the tow truck for this time since its mostly stock for now.
Here is Terry's beautiful truck:
and here is the ol dodge in pulling attire:
had over 1200 lbs hangin on the front and a few more tractor weights secured in the bed along with some cement bags to get me right at 8000 lbs.
Here is a a vid of Terry's pull, too bad your FSS wire came off Terry or I think you woulda done pretty dang good
That just means we better do one or a few more this summer now that we know kinda what to do.
Overall I thought it was a great time and I plan on doing a few more this summer after doing all that work if my truck holds up. We were all way nervous right before we hooked up but boy it was sure fun and I can see how addicting pulling really is. I'll see if i can get my video and Brandon's up later cuz I ran outta time and mine is having issues loading.
Terry, I don't think I'll be able to make it to the IF pull this weekend but I think Brandon is gonna try and do it again. I don't think I can get away with running my hood stack again unless I run 3.2 class (which is why I want to put the twins on now and run for fun) I'm thinking we should try again at the ones in Tremonten or Malad.

Fun looking pull. I like laid back events like that where you've actually got a chance in 2.6. My last pull there were two of Danville's 2.6 Dmax trucks that made over 950 rwhp. Hard to compete with that.
BTW, what league doesn't allow a hoodstack on a 2.6 truck?

some of the 2.6 trucks here are crazy too... the frames bend so much in these trucks look like they are broken right from the start but i guess thats part of their plan.

Yeah me and Brian were talkin to the owner of the green wild diesel truck and he said the 2.6 class was the most competitive class, especially back east.
Overall I was pretty impressed with the old dodge, especially with everything holding up. I was just waitin for a pop or bang when I got about halfway down the track but it handled it like a champ. I can't believe my bone stock automatic got me that far and I at least competed against those Common Rail trucks that have probably twice my power if not more (and probably 4 times the money into them than me) I barely beat out that white p pumped 12 valve that went right after me. I talked to him right before I pulled and that was his 2nd time pulling, he pulled the night before and decided to give it another try, he also had a manual. I pulled 270' and took 4th out of 5 from what everyone was tellin me.
as far as the hood stack rule, supposedly United won't let you have a hood or fender stack til the 3.2 class, so since it was my first time they just gave me a warning and let me run but said if i ran again I'd need to change it or my class... soooo I'm thinkin I want to put the 3000/5000 setup on this summer once i get studs and then run again in the 3.2 class cuz there is rarely anyone in that class or very few and I could probably get paid back easily. Maybe that'd finish off the "never-dying A518" and MAKE me put the 47rh in I wanna see what airing down my tires a little more and building my own hitch that will get me to the full 26" will do too.

I told my grandpa about it since this was his old farm truck. I told him I was impressed it all held up and did good and he said yeah I think i'm more impressed than you though haha.
My truck died right at the end of the pull when i let off, my pyro was at about 1500* and I thought uh oh... not another turbo...I cranked on it a bit and nothing so i gave it a bit of throttle then it fired right up and revved high for a second then came back down to an idle luckily (thats what the puff of smoke is in the video when I'm stopped at the end) I tried throwing it into neutral to rev it at the end to relieve pressure and turbo bark but it just died and I'm kinda wonderin what probably caused this??? Luckily I got it to fire back up and it revved high for a few seconds and I was wondering if it was running away but it hung then came down. I drove back to the pits and let it idle for a while to let it cool down but it worried me for a second.
